Josephine Peel

After following a one-year foundation course in Art and Design at Rochdale College of Art Jo entered Northumberland College of Education and trained as a Primary school teacher, specialising in Art and Music. She particularly enjoys working with children, giving them opportunities to develop their own creativity in both Art and Music.
Jo took up an interest in pastels after attending a workshop run by a founder member of the Pastel Society. She became a full member of the society in 2008 and has exhibited work in a number of exhibitions run by the society and other local organisations. A love of animals and landscape are reflected in her choice of subject matter.
